I no longer watch movies, it’s a side effect of the awakening process, (one the red pill box forgot to mention). But back when I did, there were, every now and then, a few movies worth watching. I have always enjoyed watching and reading things that make me think, that stir something in me. The Truman Show was one of those few movies that impacted me and still does to this day.
For those of you who haven’t seen the movie, it’s a story about a man named Truman (Jim Carrey) who was born and raised in a movie set. His entire life is a controlled production, screened live 24/7, where unbeknownst to him, everyone, from his wife, family, friends, work colleagues and citizens of the small town are actors. This engineered reality is all he’s ever known. Through a series of events, Truman begins to question his life and his long-standing intuition that something has never felt quite right eventually drives him in search for truth.
I realise most people may not identify with Truman, but there are many of us, who have come to feel that something is not right and that there is more to life than this, who can totally identify with Truman. In fact, the Truman Show is a perfect analogy to understanding the true nature of our perceived reality.
We, like Truman, are born, raised and indoctrinated by a carefully designed system that keeps us obedient, compliant and believing in a reality that is carefully constructed and presented to us in a way that will keep us believing and feeding it. Everything we are taught, shown, allowed to do, say or think must fall into the ‘script’ or ‘narrative’ of those that have created this ‘show’, in order to keep us in the dark, and away from the truth. It has become particularly evident in recent times how anyone that dares to question, criticise or reject the official narrative is censored, ridiculed, stigmatised and labelled crazy, or conspiratorial. The status quo must be maintained, and anyone challenging it must be squashed.
We live in societies where we are tracked, monitored, controlled and told what we can and cannot do. A little over a century ago you did not have to ask permission from government to collect rain, or to go fishing, or to own a property, or to start a business, or to get married, or to sell a product or to protest! Now we can do nothing without being extorted by government and obtaining their permission first. If you think we are free, you are delusional. Somewhere I read: ‘We are free range humans living in a tax farm’, and lately we are not even free-range!
“The perfect dictatorship would have the appearance of a democracy, but would basically be a prison without walls in which the prisoners would not even dream of escaping. It would essentially be a system of slavery where, through consumption and entertainment, the slaves would love their servitude.” Aldous Huxley 1931
Our unalienable rights are being eroded as we speak in favour of a totalitarian dystopian reality that we are being sold as the ‘Great Reset’, where according to the WEF ‘We will own nothing but we will be happy’. Our ‘show producers’ ie. the political-technocrat-pharma power structure that rules the world, wants absolute control over every aspect of our lives, just like Christof had absolute control over every aspect of Truman’s life. What Truman read, what he watched, what he was told, everything was orchestrated, everything had a purpose; to keep him believing the lie, to keep him acquiescing to the reality they had created for him.
Is that not what they are doing to us? Are we not 7.9 billion ‘Trumans’ caught in an engineered reality that serves only the interests of our show producers? Do they not manipulate our perception through the media and entertainment industry? Do they not condition and indoctrinate us through education? Do they not make us fear what they want us to fear? Love what they want us to love? Reject what they want us to reject? Do they not divide us to keep as weak? Have they not destroyed the family unit? Have they not stigmatised religion and spiritualism in favour of consumerism, and materialism?
Our show producers are very good at what they do, they have been doing it for a very long time. We are many generations of ‘Trumans’, that’s why it’s so hard for people to step out, we have not known anything different, we have all been born into this carefully produced ‘show’, or ‘matrix’. We no longer know how to distinguish truth from lies, or real reality from the matrix reality.
But just like Truman, more and more people are beginning to question things in search for truth. There is an innate instinct, an intuition, that is still alive in some of us that will keep pushing us to find the truth, to challenge things, to think critically, to find the light and with it everything that we are, everything that is and everything that ever will be, way beyond this ‘Truman Show’ they have created for us. For beyond it there is truth and love and light. For beyond it there is God’s reality. Beyond it you know you are an eternal soul experiencing life as a means of expression. Beyond it you are a sovereign being. Beyond it you know and feel that there is so much more to life than this. Beyond it you are free, which is exactly what they don't want you to be.
Towards the end of the movie, as Truman sets sail (despite his fear of water) in search for answers, he faces a violent (engineered) storm, and we are reminded that courage is required to step out of the egoic construct of the matrix. The system resists your rebellious act, and those around you that are still compliant will fight your act of courage. They do not want to even consider that you could be right in ‘escaping’ or ‘stepping out’ from the established reality, for that would mean they would have to do something about it too, and that requires inner strength and humility and conviction and fearlessness and determination, and most people don’t have any of those things anymore. You, daring to challenge the status quo, have become a problem, you must be stopped, you must be brought to your senses, back into compliance, back to the norm, back into the matrix.
But they have underestimated you, they don’t understand we cannot be stopped, the drive is greater than us. We have understood that we have been fooled, entrapped and enslaved, but there is one thing they will never be able to control, they cannot control our souls, that which makes us who we are, that which connects us to source, that which will lead us to truth and with it to freedom. We are far more powerful than we think. They know this, but they made us forget.
Suddenly, Truman’s boat hits a wall – the wall of the dome, painted in blues and whites of the fake sky and clouds. And there, up a flight of stairs ascending out of the water is a doorway. The way out from the illusory reality he had grown up in, the gateway to truth, to freedom. Leaving behind everything and everyone he ever knew, he opens the door and steps outside.
The truth is, we are all Truman, whether you want to face it or not. I suggest you open the door and step outside before it’s too late.
“In case I don’t see ya, good afternoon, good evening and good night.”
If I may recommend two older films that have foreseen the dystopian reality today manifesting as the 'new world order', it would be Dark City (1998) and They Live (1988). Although each has a unique take on the matter, what both share is the journey of realization and opening one's mind, albeit reluctantly, to the deception and manipulation that forms the basis of our constructed reality. Guided by intuition and noticing flaws in the official narrative and stage design tapestry, the main protagonists face the difficult task of believing their own eyes (opened by the realization), examining their false convictions and conditioning, and convincing others of living a lie.
The deceivers can only hide and sustain the status quo in…
Many thanks, this movie will be next on my list! ❤️
THANKS Laura! Just made me a New subscriber. I'd heard about The Truman Show with Jim Carrey whose comedy I did love during his early days, but I'd never seen the movie, I guess because by that time his persona was very much tainted, IMO. So now, I'm very grateful to you Laura for explaining it all, so much better than those who simply refer to it as a matrix of some sort but without really explaining it. I have seen The Matrix, twice to be able to really understand it. lol. I agree, with the commenter below who said those 2 are the best for truth seekers to watch. They explain what has happened to us for thousa…
Thank you for this dear Beautiful Laura. Absolutely a beautiful woman you are. ❤️ I cried when I watched Truman show, used to be a teenager then. I hope we all find that door and can gather the courage to step outside. Love and prayers for you
Yes, Truman Show and The Matrix are good films for Truth Seekers! 🙏🏼🙏🏼
